Complete review computer monitor HP 27w.
A great proposition.
The HP 27w has it all, a 27 inch IPS panel, with Full HD resolution.
The computer monitor also has a contrast ratio of 1000: 1, a brightness of 250 cd / m², but also viewing angles of 178 ° and finally a response time of 5 ms.
On the other hand a pity that the monitor only offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
This is more than enough to enjoy multimedia as well as for office automation, but regrettable for those who want to run video games at a higher rate.
But it’s also a concession to be able to offer a low price.
A very sober design.
The HP 27w has an extremely simple design, it’s simple, the computer monitor is black from head to toe, without any gradation of color.
The foot is 18cm, it allows it not to occupy too much space on the desk.
The monitor can be tilted from -5 ゜ to +23 ゜, allowing a wide angle of variation.
The foot is not rotatable and it is impossible to adjust the height of the screen, it is an option that we would have liked to have for more comfort.
The connections are made downwards, and the base does not have a cable passage.
The monitor has a 100 x 100 VESA mount that allows you to adjust an arm or mount a NUC computer.
Finally on the connection, the HP 27w computer monitor only has an HDMI input and a VGA input.
It is therefore impossible to connect speakers and a headphone output.
There are four buttons located behind the screen that allow you to make various adjustments such as brightness, contrast, color temperature, response time, etc.
Good color palette but slight contrast.
The contrast ratio is 930: 1, which is quite average for an IPS panel.
On the image, it gives washed out blacks. This is not a big problem for office use and for day use, but it is still unfortunate in comparison to other computer monitor.
When it comes to viewing angles, IPS technology gives the best results and with this HP 27w screen, there is very little variation in color or brightness when you move away from the screen axis.
About the colors, they are very good and even almost perfect.
These stand out extremely well.
We also have a display delay of 9 ms (60 Hz). There is therefore no lag between the source and the display which allows video game players to suffer from no latency.
Conclusion / Opinion:
The HP 27w computer monitor is a screen that offers a good image, with very good performance and many adjustment possibilities.
Unfortunately its lack of connectivity, and for a lesser measure of contrast makes this screen a monitor to advise mainly if your use will be office or multimedia.
For video game players, this computer monitor will also do the trick but will only be preferred if you find it with a low price.
